Now here's a candidate for Ripley's Believe it or Not:

Haverhill, New Hampshire - July 28, 2009

The police chief in Haverhill, N.H., is facing a drunk driving charge after allegedly leading one of his own officers on a chase.

Chief Jeffery Williams is charged with disobeying a police officer and DWI. According to state police, Williams failed to pull over when a Haverhill officer attempted to stop him for speeding. After trying to get away, he eventually pulled over in Woodsville and was arrested.

Along with the criminal charges, town officials are considering administrative action against Chief Williams. That will have to wait though because Williams is still on leave recovering from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash.

.....I can hear the naysayers now.... "Hey King why you so hard on cops, blah blah blah...."

Answer: I am not hard on cops, I get along with most of them very well. As a former AAG, much less as U.S. Citizen, I have however earned the right to be tough on BAD or IRRESPONSIBLE COPS, like this guy and others, including one Norman Bruce McKay, a dude who fancied putting knives near women's privates for no explicable reason. Newbies read about it here.
