We?ve talked about this law, and the absurd ruling by the U.S Supreme Court that made the creation of it necessary,  but we would be remiss in not giving props to our new president for deliberately making this important piece of workers? rights legislation the first bill he signed into law.

?It is fitting that with the very first bill I sign ? the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act ? we are upholding one of this nation?s first principles: that we are all created equal and each deserve a chance to pursue our own version of happiness,? said the president.
