DP Challenge Rejected: A Superior Court Judge in Delaware has dismissed a lawsuit challenging the state's lethal injection protocol. A story by AP writer Randall Chase reports that Robert Jackson's suit claimed that the state's protocol were illegally established because corrections officials did not open up the determination process to public review and comment. A similar claim has been made by condemned murderers in California. Jackson, by the way, was sentenced to death for beating a woman to death with an ax while burglarizing her home. Florida Murder Executed: A Florida murderer has apparently executed himself, using a non-approved protocol. A brief AP story reports that William Coday, sentenced to death for the beating and stabbing murder of his girlfriend in 1997, was found in his cell, having bled to death from a self inflicted wound...continue to full post
