That's the title of today's Dallas Morning News editorial examining the lessons from the series, DNA Exonerations.  LINK Here's one crushing disappointment about the tragedy of wrongful convictions in Dallas County and across Texas: We see too few safeguards against this nauseating history repeating itself even today. A Dallas Morning News analysis of recent criminal convictions shows that police and prosecutors continue to rely on discredited methods of witness identification. The practices of conducting photo lineups and "drive-by" witness identification should be done by specially trained investigators who use specific guidelines.
