Roma Khanna Talks With Thomas Cahill

The Houston Chronicle reporter who wrote much of the paper's coverage of the Houston Police Department Crime Lab scandal talked with the author of A Saint on Death Row.  Her interview is, "Sharing the story of a reformed killer," from the Saturday edition.Q: How did you meet Green? A: About a year before he was executed, a woman who became one of his lawyers asked me to visit with him. I was at the end of a long book tour. It was just before Christmas. It was the last thing I wanted to do, but I thought when someone asks you to visit a prisoner, you do it. He was an engaging person. He was thoughtful. He was interested and interesting.
