Sharks

Perhaps it is fitting the two times the word "shark" is used to describe someone are when referring to a lawyer and a poker player. For most of my life it seems, I have been fascinated by the correlation of game strategy and real life. Those two came together for me in college. I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer, and to listen to some, I've always been a lawyer. Poker, however, came later in life. The lure of the game was impossible for me to avoid, and it didn't take long before there was a regular game in the dorm. The rest, as they say, is history. Now, I am no World Series of Poker caliber player. I'm not in Cooperstown either. I'm neither Johnny Chan nor Johnnie Cochran. Not yet, anyway.
