Obama and DOMA

Much of the blogosphere has been inflamed over a brief filed by the Obama administration in a case challenging the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), the federal law that allows states to refuse to recognize same-sex marriages that are legal and valid in other states and refuses federal recognition of those marriages as well.
