Quick Vegas Update 8

This is probably the last Vegas update until I get home, since this is my last full night here. I have to check out of the hotel tomorrow at noon but my flight doesn't leave until 10 pm local time, so my laptop and luggage will be with the bellhops most of the day. And this was probably the most remarkable night of my vacation so far, for several reasons.

I had dinner tonight with Richard "Quiet Lion" Brodie, yet another of those computer industry millionaires turned inveterate gamblers, at Vic and Anthony's at the Golden Nugget. He's staying in the pimp daddy suite at the Nugget (seriously, you should see this suite) and invited me over for a ridiculously expensive meal courtesy of the casino, which hopes he'll stick around and lose a great deal of his fortune playing video poker.
