United Fresh 2011 Show Heads to New Orleans

The 2011 United Fresh Produce Association Show will take place in New Orleans May 2-5.  Registration for the produce association's annual conference has opened online.
The event, themed BIG Easy and held at the Ernest N. Memorial Convention Center and the Hilton Riverside Hotel in the New Orleans Central Business District, will offer "big solutions big networking and big education," according to United Fresh president and CEO Tom Stenzel.
The annual show brings together grower-shippers, wholesaler-distributors, fresh-cut processors and retail and food service operators to share ideas and develop better food-safety practices.  Demonstrations will focus on traceability and logistics, among other topics.
Former NFL quarterback Archie Manning will be a guest speaker, discussing being successful in a family business, and pundit James Carville will share his insights on politics and current events.
