Im ZEIT-Magazin vom 28. Mai 2009 wird Malcolm Gladwell (Redakteur beim New Yorker und Autor) gefragt, wo er auf seine Ideen käme. Antwort: “In der Bibliothek. Die ist dazu besser geeignet [als das Internet]. Viel besser!”
“Wenn ich in die Bibliothek gehe, weiß ich nicht unbedingt, wonach ich suche. Ich hoffe auf einen Zufallsfund. Google wurde nicht dafür geschaffen, Zufallsfunde zu ermöglichen. Google ist zu gut organisiert. Eine Bibliothek hingegen ist ein wunderschön unorganisierter Raum.”
