Craptacular

ADVERTISEMENTS
I basically had an interview today for the job that I desperately want after graduation. I took the advice of my supervisor and set up a meeting with the elected DA of my district. I assumed it would be a meeting more about chatting about the experience I had with the office and what I can do to improve my chances of getting a job as Deputy DA either in my current district or elsewhere, and that's exactly how my supervisor, who is very high up herself, told me to approach it. Instead I was bombarded with questions like "who is a leader that you admire and why?", "what's your favorite movie and why?", "what's the most profound event that you've experienced in your life?".

CRAP

I suck at interviews. I've been told before that I don't interview well. Granted, the interview I mentioned in that post over a year ago ended up resulting in my current internship. But still, I hate that I suck at interviews. I need to be better at them. I just don't know how. For some reason I feel fine going in, and everyone who knows me well is shocked to find out that I suck at interviewing. But when I get into an interview I totally stiffen up, clam up, shut down, whatever. I turn into a blundering idiot. It sucks.

Walking out of today's "interview" I didn't feel great about it, but I didn't feel horrible about it either. The more I keep replaying it in my head, the more terrible I feel about it.

Anyone know of any law jobs, or jobs in general for that matter, where I won't have to interview to get it?? UGH!
