Right. So the election has a few people confused, candidates & campaign managers included- but that has more to do with their late night out spending their hard-earned donation dollars on booze & call girls. But that I suppose that is a scandal that should break later. The intrepid duo was planning on running against each other for the Water Reclamation Board, but lo & behold that position actually exists. Who knew? I personally think running for the Water Reclamation Board is a bit like my job in my old sorority days of Risk Manager. Uhhhh. Managing risk for a sorority in New Orleans? Awesome job...it reeks of coolness & suave speaking skills. Much like those Water Reclaimer's .... or whatever it is they do.

In all actuality the contested position of Co-Advisor & Best Friend to yours truly is just a take off of a weird title often used in civil lawsuits (you know, going along with the theme of LEGALLY Blonde Ambition) something like this:

Bubba Duke, a minor by his Parents and

Next Best Friends, Papa Duke & Mama Duke,

and Papa Duke, Individually & Mama Duke, Individually, and

Bubba Duke, Individually

Plaintiffs.

The Wayward Esquire, Ltd., a corporation.

Defendants.

Combined with the fact that my real best friends are either trying to graduate from medical school or contemplating moving out of state, to which I say, EPIC FAIL to you PAG.

Right. I can tell when a joke falls flat. Noted. Moving right along, nothing to see here folks. No one attempted to use geeky legal humour in normal company & then realized man, SHE IS A HUGE DORK FOR THINKING THAT WAS FUNNY.

ANYWAY.

Right. Their acceptance speeches & platforms will come as soon as they sober up enough to scratch something out for me to post on here.

IN OTHER NEWS.

How is that book club book coming along? I sort of got sidetracked and I'm reading an Eve Duncan Forensic Series novel but I am a fast reader & solemnly promise that I too will have Strange Piece of Paradise done in time....and in following the trend, we won't post reviews until November 10th or so, but! The Artful Blogger will reveal his November choice around the 1st. Which, I can promise you has received a full Daisy Stamp of Approval for being a most phenomenal little read. And all you New Orleanian's, lovers of good writing, lovers of politics, lovers of the legal system, and lovers of the South had best allot themselves some time next month to read the next choice. Just saying.

I'm also thinking about holding a recipe contest for the fast approaching holiday season....or maybe at least a forum in which to share some much-loved family favorites. I promise to bring the hallowed family recipes for sausage stuffing, sweet potato souffle & chocolate pie, but only if y'all promise to bring a few as well. PAG & I are hosting our 2nd Annual Holiday Dinner in the upcoming season, and I'm always looking for something to add to the menu. So let me know if you are in the mood to swap some recipes...
