Obama's Soviet Uncle

Check out this report from CBS:

Obama also spoke about his uncle, who was part of the American brigade that helped to liberate Auschwitz. He said the family legend is that, upon returning from war, his uncle spent six months in an attic.

Except the Red Army liberated Auschwitz, which is in Poland.

Too bad Sinbad wasn't there to debunk Obama's Uncle's story.

UPDATE: Thanks to Armen for pointing out that CBS has updated the post to reflect that Obama was talking about Buchenwald, not Auschwitz. Good for the Obama campaign for being on top of this.

But what does it say about the CBS blog that they reported Obama's story initially, without noting that it was false?
