That's a Wrap

ADVERTISEMENTS
The two dreaded days at the end of July have come and gone, I'm still alive, and frankly those two days went waayyyy faster than I thought they would, which is a good thing. Whether or not I passed the minimum competency test to become a licensed lawyer is a big fat question mark, but the important thing is at least for now is that it is done and over, nothing but a bad and very distant memory.

To celebrate I headed to a concert with the BFF, it fabulous and the fact that it was raining/misty for the whole evening (outdoor concert) made it totally memorable. We met up with Ms. Fabulous and Big Wig at the concert, it was a blast. About half way through the concert BFF and I were talking about the last time that we saw the headliner band in concert and realized that the other band playing with headliner had actually opened for them at that last concert but no one knew who they were yet. Then after some more digging in the big old brain vault we realized that last concert would have been July of 2006 (same venue as last night), about a month before I began law school. So I suppose that it was totally fitting (and oddly symmetrical) that I ended the law school/barzam saga back at the same venue with 2 of the same bands.

As for how I'm spending my first day of barzam freedom I'm doing some shopping, getting some much needed organizing and cleaning of my apartment done, and then I'm going out for a completely fabulous night of celebratory fun with a big crew from Useless Law. Trivia Boy is insisting that I down a shot of whiskey with him this evening to commemorate the occasion, but the thought of that makes me want to puke right now, so I think I'm definitely sitting that one out. Besides, champagne seems so much more appropriate for this occasion. Speaking of Trivia Boy, if it wasn't for him having the incredible knack for being completely inappropriate (in a hilarious can't stop laughing kind of way) I might have passed out from sheer fear and nerves while waiting to enter the building Tuesday morning, instead I entered the building laughing so hard I was crying. I may not have passed the exam but at least I failed because I didn't know enough about the essay topics or bombed the multiple choice on Weds and not because my nerves kept me from writing coherently. There's also another excellent Trivia Boy story from mid-day Weds on the barzam, but I'm not sure I can blog about it since I don't know who all reads the blog. I'll see if I can figure out a way to tell it in a descreet way :)

And on that note I'm going to return to my life as a normal person. It's about time! Good luck to those of you finishing up a 3 day hellish exam or those crazy few who decided to take 2 barzams!!
