Vacation

I have two weeks off in between the end of finals and my summer job starting. I planned a whole list of things to do, some fun, some necessary. Today, for instance, I was going to run some errands near JW's office, then have a lunch date with him, and then take K to the Audubon wildlife trails nearby.

Instead I spent the day sitting around after twisting my ankle yesterday. It seemed fine for a few hours, but then my foot swelled up and I've been pretty much confined to the couch all day. I finished two books, watched a "Cosby Show" episode I've never seen before, and worked on a web site for my father.

JW is bringing K from daycare on his way back from work. I can't wait for them to come home.

Before JW left, he said to me, "Don't do anything stupid." He knows me too well. I like to imagine that I'm not THAT sick or injured, and I can at least (insert thing I shouldn't be doing here). But today I followed his instructions. And I am bored. I would not do well on bed rest.
