New LawPundit Header and Several Column Changes

Update 3: OK. We have now corrected things for newer postings so that 15-inch screens also now see our pages correctly in Firefox and IE, but for that we have had to reduce the size of graphics presented on LawPundit to a maximum width of about 400 pixels. Any archives containing graphics wider than that will still be skewed for small monitors.

Update 2:
We spoke too soon. The pages are rendered perfectly by both browsers on our 22-inch monitor screen, but we see now that the header is truncated on a friend's 15-inch screen, in both browsers. We will continue to work on the matter until it is fixed - presuming it can be fixed.

Update 1:
For those of you out there interested in such banal, but often time-consuming behind the scenes battles - OK, we solved the problem discussed below, but it took us half a day. What we had to do was to change the width element for the header "class" from 1680 (the size of the graphic) to 99%. This allows the text to float while keeping the header its original size. Obviously, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer handle those commands differently.

__________

We have installed a new LawPundit Header featuring a photograph of a section of an oil painting that we own.

The header together with the link material to its right is showing up correctly under Internet Explorer, where the links on the right move across the header to accord to the size of the viewer's screen or browser viewing window.

However, the same html code is not performing perfectly yet under Mozilla Firefox, which irritates us greatly, because Firefox is our own preferred browser, so we will be trying in coming days to come up with an html solution that works for both browsers the way that we want.

Since we will be trying out various screen variations, this may mean that you could occasionally see a screen whose header is not perfect. We trust that we will ultimately be able to solve the problem as to why the links to the right of the header in Firefox are not floating to the left like they should to accomodate your screen size.

We have also added some other new changes in the right and left columns. Take a look.
