It’s wake up time

ADVERTISEMENTS

Whether real life-service of delivery in World of War Craft, domestic animal training via PC or snowboarding in a hand stand. There probably is hardly anything which can not to be found on the Internet. Except you maybe. And if there is something. Is it what want found? Maybe a nice Facebook portrait in which one can read your blood alcohol limit in your lascivious smile? Or a lasting “Under Construction” page on your blog? However! Slowly, you should break loose from your REM deep sleep-dream phase and start to live your dream!

Let?s be honest: How many of the existing blogs are alive and kicking today? From approx. 175,000 Blogs which are posted to daily, maybe get to survive a whole year. And in the 2nd year, these might be just a small number too. However, part of these blogs will probably be called less than “alive”.

  • You want to be a blogger? Then blog!
  • You want to be a good shop assistant? Then sell!
  • You want to become rich? Then earn!

Sounds easy, doesn?t it? Actually, it isn?t that hard. You ?just? have to believe in yourself and in your dreams. It took me quite a while to understand this. Let me tell you a little bit of my story:

My journey

Until a very short time ago I did some poor attempts “to smuggle” myself in the world of the blogger. In the beginning I was very much motivated and diligently went about my blogging, nevertheless, I have began hiding increasingly. The more often I looked around at some of the blogs like Copyblogger, Write To Done, ProBlogger or Blog For profit and followed them, the more I found myself wanting to wake up and do something.

Now some of you may think, I would have stopped dreaming at this point. I should have! Tensely I had tried to use the tips such as Google calendar, Workbooks, notepad, etc. to fight against the “blockade”. But nothing has helped. Instead, I have dreamt even more! My dreams became bigger and bigger and bigger. And the bigger they became, the more silent it has become around me and strebereck.de. I wanted to blog, but these dreams caused me to fear blogging itself!

My fears and worries

Fear of not being good enough. Fear of getting no comments on my blog post and having no one subscribe to my blog. Fear of spelling mistakes. Fear of having an awful design and to having no ideas for the next post.. I could continue this list quite endlessly. I was even already afraid of my own dreams. I simply was not sure of myself!

The change

This was at the beginning of December. However, during the Christmas holiday – I did not post to my blog – something had to changed.

Then at the beginning of January I sat down to my desk, and considered where I wanted to be in 2010. Not only concerning my Blog, but my life in general. Since it was so “chaotically” as before, it could not go on! It originated at “My goals for 2010″, with instructions for every goal and steps I had to take. Now this very list hangs about my monitor, so that I have my goals always in view.

Currently I work on my new “home base”. The blog mariamcisse.com should become the new headquarters for my empire (yes, I have something in mind in my life). Since I am sure now where I am heading:

I will blog:

  • Share my experience with everyone who?s interested.
  • Build a community and care about them.
  • With every post and every comment, there shall be found more of me on the internet.

I will sell:

  • not only advertising places
  • ME! (No, not that way  ;)) With every published article and comment. Since what comes of me, is me!
  • ME! Because there is me only once, I am a BRAND. And brands are sold.

I will earn:

  • Experience
  • Self-confidence
  • Creativity
  • Know-How
  • and money

I have woke from my dreams. I blog. But my dreams and goals are not hidden from view. I keep them in plain view, directly in front of my eyes, on a sheet of paper on the wall. My sites, strebereck.de and mariamcisse.com will help me to reach my goals and to live my dreams! And you are my virtual witnesses.

It’s wake up time

If you are still dreaming, NOW is the time to wake up! Kick yourself in the butt and DO something (No, not dreaming!).

Do you have or had doubts about yourself? Have you carried out your change successfully? How have you made this happen? Your experience, your opinion and/or an advice on this subject is important. There is certainly somebody out there whom it can help.
