Franklin Square, NY: Mary Ellen was prescribed Zithromax (commonly referred to as the Z-pack) for strep throat and she followed instructions: take the medication until finished. Unfortunately for Mary Ellen and others who have suffered through Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS) due to a severe allergic reaction to a drug, those instructions can be the worst thing to do.
