Thursday Tips: Tips for Election Day!

ADVERTISEMENTS
You know the basics of voting - be 18, be a citizen, hope the chads don't hang.  But, in our first week of "Thursday Tips," we want to bring some other other considerations to your attention.
1. Avoid the crowds. Mid-morning to early afternoon is the best time to go.  Find out if there are laws in your state directing your employer to give you time off to vote on election day here.
2. Do not wear your political gear to the polls.
3. If you've been convicted of a felony, know your voting rights - some states allow those who have finished their sentence to vote.  Others allow those who have been found guilty, but not yet sentenced to vote.
4. If you have a problem casting your vote, contact Election Protection.
