OK this is cool.
Fast Company is reporting that there is a new invention from MIT (based on the a modification of already ubiquitous lithium-ion tech) that could result in battery charge times measured in minutes rather than hours. It's also more likely to not take years to get to market.
New Invention Means Future Cellphones To Charge in Seconds
A side benefit is that it might mean we can recharge our hybrid cars in minutes too!
I want this now! And as someone who has competed for the few outlets at airports where everyone is charging their stuff, I now carry a small, light power bar to share.
