In a world where going to the doctor far too often means 'getting the pills you want,' it's no wonder that many good-meaning patients – along with plenty of manipulative ones - are exposed to routine prescription drug use that leads to abuse and dependency. From the traveling sales rep who uses Xanax to relax on her weekly flights to the gardening grandma next door who broke a hip and got hooked on Percocet; prescription drug abuse is all around and it's close to illegal drug abuse in how devastating it can be to one's health and their wellbeing.
