Missouri Bar Leader Rebuts Journal Editorial

Thomas Burke, president of the Missouri Bar Association, has responded to a Wall Street Journal, which had praised an attempt to reconfigure his state’s commission-based system for appointing judges. Burke called the proposal a “Trojan horse” that would inject politics into the state court system.

The proposed amendment to the state constitution passed the House, but it appears to be stalled in the state Senate. To read Burke’s full letter to the editor, click here.
