Kean Miller Update - Hurricane Gustav - September 4

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav.  The Kean Miller Management Team continues to evaluate the effects of the storm on the communities where we live and work.

• Our main office in downtown Baton Rouge is largely unaffected by the storm.  The office is open and our personnel are returning to work.  The office will be working with limited personnel resources on Thursday, September 4th and Friday, September 5th.  Information Technology, Facility Systems and email service are operational.  One American Place has power, air conditioning, and the building is secure.   

• Our Lake Charles office is open and is unaffected by the storm.   

• Our New Orleans office will open on Friday, September 5th, but with limited personnel resources as Greater New Orleans residents begin to repopulate the region.

The Management Team is monitoring the current situation in south Louisiana in accordance with firm's disaster recovery plan.  Currently there are more than 650,000 Louisiana residents without power.  There is widespread wind damage, downed power lines, and fallen trees across the region. Many areas of South Louisiana will be without electricity for 3 to 4 weeks.
