ADVERTISEMENTS
- Up and out of bed by 5 AM and well en route by 6. At the office by 6:30, even.
- I was taken out to breakfast and lunch.
- Service at breakfast was great.
- Service at lunch was awful. Really, beyond awful.
- The conversation at both was delightful.
- I learned that my first set of surrogate parents (dating back to when I was oh, 7 or so) is moving to Nebraska.
- I poured over discovery and worked on a timeline.
- (That doesn't sound like much, but it has been one of the most time consuming tasks I've ever done as a lawyer - a timeline. Huh.)
- I tracked down missing discovery - whee!.
- I got excited over a delivery of office supplies. (I love office supplies.)
- I proofread letters.
- I finally saw the office storage area on the first floor.
- A law librarian friend sent me surplus books - brand new copies of several rulebooks!
- Peach took a header off a chair at the doctor's office and made a spectacular landing. She caught most of her weight on her hands and her head barely bumped the floor. Instead of saying, "Are you OK?" I blurted, "Hey, nice landing!" The crying barely lasted 30 seconds.
- Peach said "buh-buh" for book. This differs a little from the "boh-boh" for bottle. And after we read her a story (we are big right now into reading the stories in unison), she picked up the book, opened it, and then began to "read" to us and pointing out individual images on the pages. I just about died at the sweetness of it.
Tomorrow...we're adding some family into the mix. I guess it will be a lot different!
