: New York City Personal Injury LawyerConair Recalls Lysol Steam Cleaning Mop For Burn Hazard
By Chrissie Cole
Conair Corp. has announced a voluntary recall of Lysol Steam Cleaning Mops because hot water mixed with Lysol can spurt out and rupture the product, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
To this date, the company has received 14 reports of hot water forcefully spilling from the water compartment. Two injuries required medical attention for minor burns.
The recall involves the Lysol Steam Cleaning Mop – Model No. SM10L or SM10LR. They were sold nationwide at mass merchandise stores from September 2006 through September 2009.
To avoid injury, consumers are advised to stop using the recalled product and to contact Conair for a free replacement.
Call Conair at (800) 687-6916 or visit www.conair.com/recallmop for more information about the recall.
The recall is being conducted in cooperation of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). More information can be found on the CPSC Web site.
