Lost Toyota Value at Heart of New Lawsuit

A couple in Washington state has filed a putative class-action lawsuit accusing Toyota of violating the state?s Consumer Protection. The lawsuit claims that the couple recently tried to sell the car, which they bought in September, and were told that its value had decreased by 20 percent in the past six months. The lawsuit alleges that the issues plaguing Toyota amount to a breach of contract. The lawsuit seeks damages of at least $5 million on behalf of affected consumers.
