Washington Car Crash Kills Teen, Brother Injured

Tuesday morning, south of Allyn, a 14-year-old boy was killed and his 16-year-old brother was seriously injured in a tragic car crash in Washington.

Trooper Krista Hedstrom with the Washington State Patrol, said that the 16 year old driver was driving a BMW on SR-3 about 9:25 a.m. when he lost control of the car and hit a utility pole.

His 14-year-old brother was killed in the crash. The driver was taken to Mason General Hospital with serious head injuries and a broken neck. Later, he was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

According to Hedstrom, troopers don't believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
